Whether it be a simple bow in one's hair, on a dress, a bangle, or bows on your shoes; bows are always in the spotlight when it comes to feminine fashion. This style can easily be adapted into one’s daily wear and is aceleb trend that anyone can try with success.

Bows in Hair
Shenae Grimes displays a classic use of an American Apparel oversized bow. With a feminine and young look, this bow also keeps her hair off her face. Look fresh, flirty and sophisticated when you wear neutral colored bows -- brights would be too Minnie Mouse.

Bows in the Back
No questions asked, we loved Stacy Keibler’s red, fitted Valentino dress that she wore at the 2012 Golden Globes. This gorgeous gown showed off her curves and had a back-flattering bow tie. The large red bow added just the right touch of fun to this formal number. To get this look, find party dresses or blouses with a large bow back -- a cute addition to any spring or summer outfit.

Bows on Shoes
An easy and chic way to incorporate bows into your wardrobe is on your shoes, whether it's on sandals or high heels. Ariel Winter wore these Charlotte Olympia black pumps at the 2012 Golden Globes. The small bows on the front of each shoe are pretty in a subtle way that looks ladylike a la "Mad Men."

Bows on Tights
When it gets cold you don’t have to shy away from bows at all. Sarah Knappig showed us her ultra flirty style sense at the 1Live Krone Awards in 2011. These polka dot tights have the perfect finishing touch with a bow at the top of the pattern. Find trendy tights like Knappig's and you'll wish it was winter all year long.

Bows at Work
No one ever said bows can’t be in the workplace. Kathy Griffin is the perfect example at the “Hollywood Reporter's Power 100: Women In Entertainment Breakfast." With a bow tied on her shirt, as well as bows on her shoes she looks poised and sophisticated. Try a loosely tied bow on a sheer blouse, it will offer

Bows in Braids
Bella Thorne added the finishing touch to her loose braid at the Premiere of DreamWorks Pictures' "Real Steel" with a thin black bow. The bow at the end of her braid adds a feminine touch to her outfit. This is perhaps the easiest way to wear this trend. Have fun with bows in your hair by playing with pretty colors and ribbon textures.

Bow as Bracelet
Melissa Joan Hart wore this gold Kate Spade bangle on the red carpet at the Premiere of Walt Disney Studios' "The Lion King 3D" in 2011. An oversized bangle, especially with a bow, adds a trendy spin on any outfit. If you can't find a bangle that works just right, buy some stiff gold ribbon and tie one on!

Bows on Headbands
Ariana Grande looks adorable with a peach bow headband holding her hair back at a radio appearance at “SiriusXM” in 2011. With a simple tank top and minimal accessories the focus is put on her natural beauty. Can't find the ideal bow-adorned headband? Simply tie one on your headband yourself in a matching color.

Bows on Shorts
Silvia Alonso looked causal and chic at the "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2" Premiere. With a bright shirt, simple black gladiator sandals, paired with a pair of light pink bow shorts, she looks fresh and age-appropriate in this ensemble. Have fun with cute bow prints and mix things up with bright colored separates.

Bows on Bags
Spanish flamenco singer Nina Pastori showed off a bow clutch at the "Haiti es Real" Charity Gala Dinner in 2011. This stylish clutch adds a pop of color and incorporates a bow in a less confrontational way. You can find a variety of clutches with bows on them at vintage stores to get your own bow-tiful purse.

Bows on Rings
Actress Andrea Bogart sported a bow ring at the 2011 Daytime Emmy Awards Cocktail Reception for the nominees. If you are looking to add a stylish touch, grab a bow ring to add a chic measure to any outfit. If you can't afford to buy a new ring, make one from metallic ribbon or tie one on your favorite silver band. DIY is always a do!

Bright Bows
Gisele Bundchen adds a pop of color to her Oscar de la Renta gown with a bright pink bow belt at the 2011 AFI Life Achievement Award Honoring Morgan Freeman. Not only does this belt add a pop of color but it alsoaccentuates her figure even more drawing emphasis on her waistline.

The New York Times reported that over half of the births to US women younger than 30 occurred outside of marriage in 2009. Most of the ongoing rise of births to unmarried women occurred to couples living together but unmarried. So why don’t these young women want to get married?

Here are seven of the areas that the women who answered my question, “What is the most important thing you wish you had known before you were married?” mentioned most frequently.

1. I wish I’d known what marriage is really like.
Many of these women got most of their information (really misinformation) about what marriage was supposed to be like from the media and they believed it until reality struck.

2. I wish I’d known more about myself.
These women had very little idea of who they were or would like to be when they were not trying to please the people around them.

3. I wish I hadn’t been in such a hurry so I could’ve taken the time I needed.
These women feel pressure to marry prematurely both internally from themselves and from others.

4. I wish I knew just how much family patterns could influence us.
These women were so surprised by how difficult it was to blend their own ideas with their husbands’ family influenced ideas of what marriage was supposed to be like.

5. I wish I’d known that bad behavior can get worse.
This very common response came from women who made excuses for their fiance’s behavior before marriage. They were surprised that they weren’t able to change it.

6. I wish I’d paid a whole lot more attention to money.
Some women surprised themselves by how capably they managed money once they were forced to do so. Others realized how they have given away their power by not taking joint responsibility for the couple’s money.

7. I wish I’d known what it really takes to make a marriage work.
Many of these women shared the challenges they had met in the lessons they’ve learned along the way to help them eventually make their marriages work.

Every woman is a treasure but way too often we forget how precious they are. We get lost in daily chores and stinky diapers, in work deadlines and dirty dishes, in daily errands and occasional breakdowns.

I put together a list of 10 things that all women should remember in order to stay balanced, grounded and amazing as we are born to be.

1. You are beautiful
Every woman deserves to shine in this world, inside and out. Don’t let anything or anyone let you doubt how beautiful you are because you are a gem like no other.

2. You are strong
Life sometimes seems too hard and difficult to understand but no matter what obstacles are standing in your way right now you have the power to overcome them. Sometimes your strength lies in stubbornness and determination but even more often it is hidden in your ability to go around obstacles and learn from the previous mistakes. Be strong as a fire that crushes everything in its way and like water that finds a way around any obstacle with gentle determination and a peaceful flow.

3. You are THE BEST at being yourself
You have unique gifts and talents that no one else in this world has. Sometimes we feel that we need to be someone else in order to fit in, be a better mother or wife, or portray an image that we believe everyone else will love. No matter how hard you try to be someone else you will never be good enough. You will do the best and be the happiest only if you stop living by someone else’s standards and start using your unique potential to shine like a light in this world.

4. You deserve being taken care of and cherished
We spend a big part of our lives trying to make others like us. The truth is that no one will ever like you if you don’t start loving yourself first. Give your love to others like you do every day already but don’t forget to leave some for yourself. Spend some time reading your favorite book, exercising, giving yourself a manicure or enjoy a relaxing bubble bath. You are worth it!

5. You are rich
True wealth comes from within. Of course, money matters but so does the way you spend and treat it. If money is the only purpose of your life then you will never feel rich even if you become a millionaire. Treat money the way it was meant to – as means to existence rather than the ultimate source of happiness and joy. Right now write down 5 things that make you a rich person and keep this list where you will always see it.

6. You deserve pursuing your passion
Your passion is the integral part of you, the minute you lose it you will start losing yourself. Did you ever feel that you hardly even remember the girl you were when you were 16? What gave you that enthusiastic drive to pursue your goals and dreams?

No matter how many years passed since you were 16, that girl still lives inside of you. Even though today you have responsibilities, chores and THE schedule you still need to make room for your passion.

7. Your sensitivity is your biggest power
You are delicate as a flower and you need love to survive. Don’t be afraid to show your weakness every once in a while and let your loved ones help you. Your power lies in multiplying the love and care that you receive and spreading it in the world around you.

8. You are courageous
Living a full life means being bold and courageous in order to protect what you stand for and aspire for your biggest dreams. Every day we face choices and the course your life is taking depends greatly on how courageous you are when making decisions. Don’t settle for the easiest choice but rather use your courage to live a bold and full life.

9. You are perfect
You are the masterpiece of perfection as long as you let your inner light shine and know how invaluable you are.

10. You are … what you want to be
Our deepest wishes are whispers of our authentic selves. We must learn to respect them. We must learn to listen.

It’s International Women’s Day 17 days later, the 102th one since it has been observed in the early 1900′s, also named as the U.N. Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace.

1908

Great unrest and critical debate was occurring amongst women. Women’s oppression and inequality was spurring women to become more vocal and active in campaigning for change. Then in 1908, 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter hours, better pay and voting rights.

1909

In accordance with a declaration by the Socialist Party of America, the first National Woman’s Day (NWD) was observed across the United States on 28 February. Women continued to celebrate NWD on the last Sunday of February until 1913.

1910

In 1910, a second International Conference of Working Women was held in Copenhagen. A woman named a Clara Zetkin (Leader of the ‘Women’s Office’ for the Social Democratic Party in Germany) tabled the idea of an International Women’s Day. She proposed that every year in every country there should be a celebration on the same day – a Women’s Day – to press for their demands. The conference of over 100 women from 17 countries, representing unions, socialist parties, working women’s clubs, and including the first three women elected to the Finnish parliament, greeted Zetkin’s suggestion with unanimous approval and thus International Women’s Day was the result.

1911

Following the decision agreed at Copenhagen in 1911, International Women’s Day (IWD) was honoured the first time in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland on 19 March. More than one million women and men attended IWD rallies campaigning for women’s rights to work, vote, be trained, to hold public office and end discrimination. However less than a week later on 25 March, the tragic ‘Triangle Fire’ in New York City took the lives of more than 140 working women, most of them Italian and Jewish immigrants. This disastrous event drew significant attention to working conditions and labour legislation in the United States that became a focus of subsequent International Women’s Day events. 1911 also saw women’s ‘Bread and Roses’ campaign.

1913-1914

On the eve of World War I campaigning for peace, Russian women observed their first International Women’s Day on the last Sunday in February 1913. In 1913 following discussions, International Women’s Day was transferred to 8 March and this day has remained the global date for International Wommen’s Day ever since. In 1914 further women across Europe held rallies to campaign against the war and to express women’s solidarity.

1917

On the last Sunday of February, Russian women began a strike for “bread and peace” in response to the death over 2 million Russian soldiers in war. Opposed by political leaders the women continued to strike until four days later the Czar was forced to abdicate and the provisional Government granted women the right to vote. The date the women’s strike commenced was Sunday 23 February on the Julian calendar then in use in Russia. This day on the Gregorian calendar in use elsewhere was 8 March.

1918 – 1999

Since its birth in the socialist movement, International Women’s Day has grown to become a global day of recognition and celebration across developed and developing countries alike. For decades, IWD has grown from strength to strength annually. For many years the United Nations has held an annual IWD conference to coordinate international efforts for women’s rights and participation in social, political and economic processes. 1975 was designated as ‘International Women’s Year’ by the United Nations. Women’s organisations and governments around the world have also observed IWD annually on 8 March by holding large-scale events that honour women’s advancement and while diligently reminding of the continued vigilance and action required to ensure that women’s equality is gained and maintained in all aspects of life.

2000and beyond

IWD is now an official holiday in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, China (for women only), Cuba, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Madagascar (for women only), Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nepal (for women only), Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia. The tradition sees men honouring their mothers, wives, girlfriends, colleagues, etc with flowers and small gifts. In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of Mother’s Day where children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers. (source: http://www.internationalwomensday.com/about.asp)

When writing a love letter, remember at first: It’s not a card. It’s a letter.

First, sit. Letters take time.
Letters have a rhythm. Letters must be written, and writing takes a while. Three lines can’t do the work of three paragraphs. This is not to say your letter must be long. Three paragraphs can do the work of three pages. Just give them some time.

Be loyal to the past you share.
If your love emerged on a kayak trip, then you don’t just mention that experience — you make it. Let the river become your palette. Tell a story that only the two of you know. Or narrate a moment in which she was unaware that you were watching her. Use detail to show what you remember and that you remember.

Let the example precede sentiment.
A good love letter declares itself plainly, then illustrates particularly. “I saw you watching the men play chess in the park. So quiet. I love the way you look at things.” Show her what you love in her before you tell her what you love in her. Show, then tell.

Don’t repeat yourself.
Emotional declarations matter more if you space them a little. Even in a short letter, you must create room. With love, there’s value in scarcity. That’s why it feels like such ajackpot.

Most of all, remember that it’s private.
Say something that surprises you about yourself. Let her know that she is redefining your terms. In this way most, a love letter is like love itself. There must be risk.
